And obviously ragnarok, but you said you’d seen that one?

But you also said you’d seen the captain america films but havent seen civil war so not sure

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
I wouldn't bother with Dr Strange - it is a bit crap.

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
Russ, i definitely think civil war is a must watch as it shows you where most of the heroes are right before this,

Also both guardians of the galaxy films as they have alot of links to the big bad guy in this one

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
Not a die-hard fan but a fella I work with is and he has got me on board. Seen the Iron-Man, Capt. America and Thor films. All good and really enjoyed.

Now he's telling me I must see this. But he's said have you seen Civil War (which I haven't) and he's saying "You need to see that first". Then he's said the same to me about Dr Strangelove and apparently I need to see that first also. He also said about Guardians of the Galaxy and same thing.

So he has now lent me 3 DVD's to watch before I can watch Infinity.

I have shit loads already to watch and he's trying to explain all the links. I really don't know if I have time in my life for this. But will give it a go. Trying to decorate house too at the moment so I am sure this is going to cause some Barney's.

Wife "Oi, have you painted the coving yet?"

Me "Er...No love..I am just watching the end of Avengers Civil War and I will get on it"

Wife "Grow up you prick"

Is Adam Warlock in it yet?

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
Yeah i know i get that, but i dont see how people can complain about spoilers when theyve knowingly clicked on the thread about the film

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
If a mod can put spoilers in the thread title. It's only been out a day, loads of people wouldn't have had a chance to see it yet

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
Are we allowed to actually discuss the movie or will people be annoyed that they read spoilers after clicking on a thread about the film thats just come out

Just got back.

Wow. Feel drained. A whole fucking year to wait.

2.5 hours flew by... (apart from the strain on my bladder)

Just got home from watching it, thought it was absolutely brilliant, right up until the very end, no spoilers but its just obviously not going to stay that way

Logan's another near perfect film, loved it

Prefer the Netflix stuff - Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and The Defenders.

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
The best so far for me have been Logan and Guardians of the Galaxy, obs for different reasons.

I saw Thor ragaNORKS on a plane after id watched every other film. Thought it was surprisingly good, and takes a bit of the stuff that has made Guardians so popular.

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
I'd say Logan and Iron Man 3.

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
Delighted that I have now reached the age where these films all look the same to me, and I've no idea what I've seen or haven't seen. I also have no idea how many films there have been in any franchise, although it's always about twice what I expect it to be.

Do I win 'Grumpy Old Git Of The Day' for this?

Gavros 2:34 Thu Apr 26

The director wrote and voiced the part himself. Heard him interviewed and a fair bit of dialogue on the movie is improvised.
I enjoyed Thor Ragnarok a lot. Apart from that only Guardians of the Galaxy grabbed me as it big, dumb, funny and stupid and didn't take itself seriously even a bit.
I'll go and and Infinity was (although the trailer I saw was awful) just to watch Quill, Rocket and Drax bitching at each other.

Re: Infinity War / Marvel Movies
Watched it this morning. Whereas the other MCU films have been comic book, this was a bit more of a graphic novel. Some very intense "extended peril" which went further than KAPOW! type violence that Marvel have stuck to so far.

Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed it though. Escapism is very much needed these days.
